The PEACE Action (CA23129 – Peace Research Community Europe) brings together a trans-European and interdisciplinary research community, strengthening collaboration among scholars working on peace, conflict, and security across Europe and beyond. The network aims to advance understanding of contemporary challenges to peace and security, and to inspire innovative research, policy, and practice.
The PEACE Action is opening a call for Conference grants and invites applications for YRI and ITC Conference grants to support participation in workshops or conferences addressing topics related to peace and conflict research. For this specific call the PEACE Action has budget available to fund four grants of maximum 1450€ per grant.
More specifically the call supports participation of YRI and ITC researchers in workshops or conferences on the following issues:
Feminist methodological innovations for studying peace
Feminist theoretical innovations for studying world politics
Feminist peacebuilding
Feminist approaches to militarism
Feminist perspectives on (non)violence
Successful applicants will be invited to prepare a written document summarising their key findings and may be invited to present their work to the COST Action members.
A Conference Grant is a fixed financial contribution which takes into consideration the budget request of the applicant and the outcome of the evaluation process. Conference Grants do not necessarily cover all the expenses related to participating in a given conference. A Conference Grant is a contribution to the overall travel, conference fee, accommodation and meal expenses of the selected Grantee.
It is important to note that the payment of the grant will only be processed upon approval of the required conference report and supporting documents by the grantee, usually after the conference took place. For more information about the specific eligibility and reporting criteria for ITC and YRI Conference Grants, please consult the annotated rules and the dedicated grants page on the PEACE website.
